LingHacks Workshops on Words
LingHacks (http://linghacks.tech) will be hosting 2 introductory computational linguistics workshops this fall. We welcome all students in 8th grade or above, regardless of background. You may attend one or both workshops: - Workshop 1 (October): Topics covered include introductory Python, data preprocessing and manipulation using Python natural language processing packages, common machine learning algorithms, and a spellcheck application tutorial. - Workshop 2 (November): Topics include introductory Python & data preprocessing, more machine learning algorithms, and application tutorials on synonym generation & uses of WordNet.
Who: Grades 8-12
When: Sunday, October 21, 11AM-1PM, and Sunday, November 4, 11AM-1:30 PM (11:30 - 1:30 for those who also attended in October)
Where: Los Altos Library (13 S San Antonio Rd, Los Altos, CA)
