Summer Counselor-in-Training at Palo Alto Art Center
Summer Camp Counselors in Training (CIT) are volunteers (12-17 years old) who assist professional art instructors in the day-to-day running of the Children’s Fine Art summer camps. CITs offer support through classroom management, encouraging campers, prepping art supplies and more. This is a great way to earn service hours, develop and strengthen leadership skills, and have fun in a creative environment. The Lead Counselor in Training (LCIT) program builds on experience as an Art Center CIT and provides opportunities for volunteers to help lead the CIT training, enjoy mentorship from college Children’s Fine Art (CFA) interns, manage camper recreation, and take responsibility as the LCIT for one week of camps.
