Summer Youth Program Intern at Palo Alto Housing

Summer Youth Program Intern at Palo Alto Housing

Our youth program is an intentionally designed community space for youth living in our housing complexes to build skills in academics, leadership and life.

As one of our dedicated and passionate Summer Youth Program Interns, you will earn community service hours while assisting with running one of our summer programs, Kids In Action (serving youth ranging from grades 1-5) or Entrepreneur’s Club (middle school) or Digital Leaders (high school). You will be responsible for welcoming youth, leading team-building activities, assisting with and/or taking ownership of art, science, sports & leadership activities (Kids in Action), small business activities (Entrepreneur’s Club) or web design and digital media activities (Digital Leaders), serving a healthy snack, managing behavior, and cleaning up the program space, under the guidance of our Youth Program Leaders. Through this experience you will expand your skills in project-based lesson planning, group facilitation, leadership, and youth development while building mentoring relationships with amazing kids.
